“I studied piano, jazz piano and music theory with Michael for many years.
During this time l undertook exams and was very successful.
Michael has a very calm and patient approach to teaching, he has a great enthusiasm and passion for music which he passes onto you during your lessons.
As a nervous adult pianist, Michael has helped me to improve my confidence over many years and it is that time and space he gave me during my lessons which allowed me to find confidence and broaden my musical horizons to apply for piano summer schools and build a bigger network of piano friends, teachers and colleagues.
Michael strives to continue his own professional development by also attending piano related courses, playing in concerts and entering competitions. This expands Michael’s knowledge and rubs off onto you as a pupil as he has a real thirst for musical learning.
I am extremely grateful to Michael for the music and knowledge he taught me -
he's also very very funny and will make you laugh as part of your musical training!!!”

What do you love most about your job?
Hello - I have a passion for music and have been teaching piano for more years than I care to remember and I still find teaching inspirational and fulfilling. It does not matter about your age - your time of life should be no barrier to learning and enjoying music.
My aim is for you to enjoy learning new pieces of a wide variety of music including the jazz piano syllabus of Trinity College London, London College of Music and ABRSM - there is never any pressure to take examinations - that is entirely your decision.
Why should our clients choose you?
Michael is an excellent piano tutor. With him as my teacher for six years I improved from no technical knowledge of music and minimal practical experience through ABRSM grade 1 to grade 5 piano theory and grade 4 practical, all as a mature student. Michael ensures that lessons are well structured and tailored to suit the pupil's needs. He measures progress and develops piano technique in a supportive and guided way. I have no hesitation in commending Michael as a piano teacher, my only reason for leaving his tuition was due to relocation.”
