Describe your creative process.
The first stage is to chat with our clients to discuss what they are aiming to achieve, how they want to be perceived and if they have any specific visual styles in mind.
We then move onto design concepts where we take the information provided and create various design options. This is then presented to our client for feedback.
Based on the feedback from the concept stage we move on to design development. This is when we refine the prefered design into a final look and feel.
Further to the clients approval we create final artwork that is ready to be used either for print or digitally, depending on the project.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
The information we require from our clients can vary from job to job. However the initial information we alway ask for is;
• Who are your target audience?
• What is your businesses personality? Is it authoritative, friendly, professional, knowledgeable etc?
• What is your point of difference? How do you stand out in your market place?
• Do you have any other brands/companies that you admire (either in your market or otherwise)?
• What type of look and feel do think best suits your offer? Is it contemporary, traditional, timeless etc?
What do you love most about your job?
I really like to improve the perception of a company through a well thought out brand or design that makes consumer look at them in a more positive way.
Most of the time when a person hears about a business whatever sector it is, their first touch point is some type of design, this may be a business card, a brochure, a website etc.
If the designs are well considered and executed to a high standard they are the first step to a business gaining more customers.
Last but by no means least, it give me great pleasure to have many happy clients who are very pleased with the designs I have created.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After spending 14 years working for several top 10 design agencies in the UK. I felt I had gained enough experience to be the master of my own destiny and started my own business in 2012.
Also, due to many of my peers suggesting I had all the attributes to be successful in my own right spurred me on to take the leap. I haven't look back since.
