I have known Jamie for many years, first as a young teenager, being a neighbour of mine. I have seen him grow into a sensitive, people-centred , dedicated, warm amd generous young man. Jamie started teaching my son over 6 years ago and has seen him through 2 high distinction certificates and 1 high merit certificate. My son has progressed stunningly throughout these years and I am incredibly grateful to Jamie for instilling in my son a strong passion for guitar playing. He has formed an excellent teacher-pupil bond with him to the point that my son feels that he would not have studied guitar if it was not for his awesome teacher. The way Jamie teaches about guitar performance is fantastic. As a tutor, he remains calm and patient, and cracks a joke here and there to keep the mood light. Jamie gave me stuff to work on outside of lessons which were at the right skill level and remained interesting. Jamie has been teaching my teenage son guitar for around 4 years and progress has been excellent. My son enjoys a mixture of learning guitar skills and being able to learn/play music he likes. Have had many guitar teachers the 4/5 years I've been playing but Jamie is by far the best! With his teaching I managed to get into the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford and play in bands - great guitarist, teacher and his knowledge of music is totally solid!
