We have known Helen since she started tutoring our eldest almost 5 years ago and since then she has been an amazing tutor to our youngest also. I have highly recommended Helen to friends and family who now also tutor their children. She is very patient and personable. Her guidance and excellent teaching has helped my kids immensely through their primary schooling years. More...

What do you love most about your job?
I love teaching. The moment someone looks at me and says they now understand or remember. I love explaining concepts and the challenges I overcome with my students.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was inspired by my Aunty, who used to tutor, she believed I would make a good tutor. I found it so fulfilling I decided to make it my ownly job and it doesn't feel like work to me. I feel very honoured to do the job.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a very happy, warm, and at times, funny tutor. I look to make the lesson fun as well as informative. As I have been doing it for so long I have developed some great techniques for teaching that are my own inventions and guarentee success no matter how hard you find something to learn. I make sure we always have something we are working towards so you know when you are succeeding.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I prefer to work in a students home, but because of Covid I have had to branch out and can provide online Skype lessons.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I ask to teach in a well ventilated room with a window open and I keep one metre away from my students. I use gel before and after the lesson.
Tutoring Eng &Maths to 5-11 year olds
I usually see a student once a week for an hour in their own home. I’m very experienced and I set goals and celebrate achievements, building self esteem in my students.
Preschoolers help
I teach preschoolers to write their names, count and take their first steps to becoming readers, so they are ready to start school with confidence. Sessions are informal and fun. I bring everything I need with me and charge £30 a session.
Adult lessons
I teach adults who want to become better at maths, reading and writing. I am very discreet and fully confidential. I listen carefully to my clients needs and come up with a strategy that suits them.
NLP practitioner
I’m a fully qualified NLP master practitioner. I see clients in their own homes and help with anxiety, depression and phobias. I am also a life coach. If you find yourself trapped in a life that no longer serves you I help to support you through changes.
