What do you love most about your job?

I teach for the pure love of knowledge and for the opportunity to share it. There are many aspects of my job that I love. One of them is the intellectual challenge of learning, studying and developing insight. Another is the fulfillment of contributing to the success of others.

I have a natural ability to effectively explain complex concepts and foster an engaging environment for learning. I am patient, present and reliable.

The goal of my teaching sessions is always to a) learn and b) appreciate what you learn. Sincerely, Ahmed Khan, FSA, FCIA

What inspired you to start your own business?

I worked in the "corporate world" for almost 15 years as an actuary. It could be described as an "office job". While it had it's advantages, over time as I learned more about my motivations, I realized that I had to be my own boss and have my own business. This gives me the ability to focus entirely on what I want - which is to throw myself into academia and teach others.

Why should our clients choose you?

3 Reasons:

1. Educational and professional background - I am highly educated. With a B.A. in Economics, I am also a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (F.C.I.A.) and Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (F.S.A.) with +15 years of professional experience.

2. Personal background - I have an international background and have worked with people from all over the world.

3. Teaching method - I am patient and engaged. There are certain principles that are followed in my teaching method:
i) breaking down concepts into smaller pieces
ii) allowing students to explore alternative solutions
iii) No memorization - I am a big believer in understanding formulas rather than memorizing them.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I can provide my services online or remotely via Skype, MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
