Q&As

Almost any garage is suitable for a conversion. Things to look for that might add significantly to the price would be the following: Is the ceiling height the same as your home or where you want it to be? Is the level of the floor the same as your home's interior or where you want it to be? Are you looking to add plumbing fixtures to the space (kitchen/bath, etc)?

1. A meeting between the homeowner, the designer and the contractor to get a clear understanding of the scope of work.
2. Creation of a set of plans (and site plan, if required) to finalize scope of work and submit for permits.
3. Permitting.
4. Pre-Construction Meeting to get started.
5. Finish Material Selections.
6. The Construction Process (if applicable) - demo, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, drywall, doors, windows, trim, paint, flooring, cabinets, countertops, finish plumbing and electrical fixtures, hardware, appliances, final cleaning.
7. All inspections for the permit.
8. The final walkthrough and delivery of the space.

Almost any loft is suitable for conversion. Things to look for that might add significantly to the price would be the following: Does the floor have enough support to handle the additional weight of the walls and additional materials to be placed there? What is the current staircase and do you want to change it? Is there room around the stair area to expand, if needed? Does the loft currently have any electrical, plumbing or HVAC?

Our interior design process begins with a conversation with the owner. What is their vision for the space? What is the utility for the space? Once that is established we typically look to share photographs of examples of spaces as often people "explain" things differently. Our next step is to create drawings (renderings) to ensure what the client wants and what is designed matches. Finally, we work to establish a budget and sources for material selection, key words to find materials, and timing of materials.

We are able to cater to all different interior design styles. Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Traditional, Farmhouse, Farmhouse Modern, BOHO, Eclectic, Glam, Industrial, Minimalist, Coastal, Mountain, Scandinavian... whatever the client wants.

Our design work comes with a guarantee that we will get you a complete set for permitting. Our remodeling work comes with a 12 month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Most of our design work is handled remotely. We are willing to come out and view the space and discuss questions in person. We will need to come out at least one time to take all measurements and photographs of the space.

We work mostly remotely. In the measuring process, we wear masks and stay safely socially distanced.
